Meet Mr. Magoo. This poor guy arrived at CPR with a horrible eye
injury. It is unclear what caused the problem but whatever it
was, it was severe enough to cause him to lose one eye and have
his vision seriously affected in the other. He seems to be able
to detect light and movement as he has little difficulty
maneuvering through his foster home, now that he is familiar
with it. He is even able to get in and out the doggie door with
ease. But he does still occasionally bump into things,
especially the screen door or patio door when it is closed. His
hearing also appears to have been moderately affected in that he
can hear when he is being called but can't necessarily localize
where the sound is coming from. But he still comes running and
happily bounces around until he finds you. Thankfully his foster
brothers and sisters have picked up on his short comings and are
more than happy to give him a hand. Therefore, Magoo would
probably do best in a home with other dogs. He does
exceptionally well with other animals and is very tolerant of
everyone, even the more playful ones. He doesn't seem to have a
crabby bone in his body. His is housebroken, great with kids,
and the happiest little guy you could ever hope to meet. He
loves going for walks, visiting his friends at Petsmart, and
snuggling up in your lap for a little belly rub. Magoo is
crate-trained but has an uncanny ability to escape when he so
chooses. But lucky for him (and his foster mom), he is perfectly
behaved in the house and no longer requires being crated when
left alone. Please don't let his disabilities fool you- this is
a great dog who is going to live a long and happy life . . .
Maybe with you! If you would like to meet Mr. Magoo or have
questions please complete an online application today or email
his foster mom Steph at
Steph@cprfund.com . His adoption fee is $125.00. He is fully
vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered. Contact his foster mom
to set up a meeting.
Please help support the CPR Fund Canine Rescue by donating a new
or gently used crate. We are an all volunteer organization with no
facilities, our animals are placed in foster homes until they get
adopted. We have grown quite a bit this past year and are able to
save more dogs than ever. However, we are now in desperate need of
crates in all sizes. So, if you have a crate you no longer need, the
CPR Fund could definitely put it to good use. Please email
info@cprfund.com if you would like to donate a new or used crate. We
would also greatly appreciate any monetary donations towards the
purchase of new ones. Donations can be mailed to, Child and Pet
Relief Fund P.O. Box 303 Lowell, IN 46356. Or made through PayPal on
our website, www.CPRFund.com just click on the link for donations.
Thanks so much and we would not be able to exist without the help of
generous donators like you
