By the luck of the stars

This is Mooshy. By the luck of the stars, paths crossed and a group of women quickly realized she was in bad shape and was in desperate need of help. She had become urgent due to signs of kennel cough, pneumonia, and severe weakness. With only hours on the clock, an iso foster stepped up opening up her home to Mooshy. Within 24 hrs of arriving to her iso-foster's home, her health began to decline. After days of doing everything we could to keep her alive, keeping her comfortable, feeding her, and keeping her hydrated by syringe, she was hospitalized for 6 days where she was diagnosed with stage 3 heartworm, double pneumonia, a uri, severe malnutricion, emaciation, and a series of other infections. On top of everything, it was apparent she had just given birth. Just when we thought this precious girl's body wouldn't be able to take anymore, she kept fighting like a little warrior. The rescue team, CPR Fund K9 Rescue, her foster mom, our amazing Vets, a dog-loving paramedic, a dog-loving nurse, and several other dog-loving, beautiful people came together and worked around the clock to do everything in their power to keep this baby alive. 

In spite of it all

We traced Mooshy back to some really unfavorable circumstances. Whats she's endured is un-imagineable but her personality clearly demonstrates an extraordinarily smart cuddle bug of a dog. She loves her belly rubbed. She loves to curl up in your arms. She loves to lay in the sun. She demonstrates the ability to train well and learn very quickly. 

She pushes on

Mooshy has since shown significant signs of improvement. Her x-rays, blood tests, and echocardiogram revealed significant changes in her lungs due to the infections and heartworm. She is basically on bed rest for several months. Her activity has been reduced to little or none and our focus is to make sure she is resting and allowing her body to heal as well as being able to get her all of the medical help she'll need. She will continuously need to be monitored, treated for heartworm, and seen by vets and this is just one of many cases that surmount to thousands and thousands of dollars.

Joined forces

Mooshy is not the only pup to suffer from such severe circumstances. There are so many others. We have all joined forces and helped in so many different ways. We need all the help we can get! In efforts of enabling this rescue to keep saving these dogs lives, we are hosting this fundraiser in hopes you will join us in a movement to spread lots of love and to come together and support these people that work endlessly to save these lives and to support Mooshy's efforts to fight so hard for a life all dogs deserve. All donations will be directed to CPR Fund and will be used toward all of the expenses that involved with these rescues.
